Arranging a holiday for a Large Group
You can search for a large holiday home that can sleep everyone under one roof, or search for multiple properties on the same site where you can enjoy a little extra privacy and space at the end of the day – perfect for families who want to holiday together. We also have the facility to search for properties that accept hen nights and stag parties; venues suitable for weddings and those that can help you arrange outside catering – ideal if you are planning a special celebration or corporate event.
Self catering provides the perfect accommodation solution for large gatherings, offering plenty of space and privacy to relax and have fun. Many properties offer the sort of facilities you would expect from a high class hotel including hot tubs and private pools, so why not enjoy a weekend away in a large luxury house – by the time you split the cost per person per night, you will be amazed how affordable 'luxury' can be for large groups!
Through Independent Cottages, you book directly with the holiday home owner which means agency fees can be avoided and even great savings can be made on large properties. We also have plenty of late availability offers so next time you are meeting up with friends, why not grab yourself a last minute deal and get away for a couple of nights for a good catch up.
Tips: We have many properties that accept single sex groups but not all do, so please double check before booking. If you require dining facilities that allow the whole group to enjoy supper together, make sure you select the 'Dine Together' criteria option when searching. Many owners are more than happy to recommend local services (for example caterers, beauty therapists and tailored outdoor activities) which will help you plan and get the most out of your stay.

Our large group rentals include this on the Supplementary Information section of each advert.
Can we have a party in a rental property?
You will need to check the advert and/or contact the owner to discuss this prior to booking. We do have some properties that are geared up for accommodating parties but others who have a strict 'no-party' policy due to neighbouring properties etc.
Will a security deposit be required?
Many owners of large properties require a damage deposit at the point of booking so we recommend you clarifying this with the owner.
Is outside catering available?
Many owners will be able to put you in touch with outside caterers for those special occasions when you want an external chef. You will be able to select this facility when searching Independent Cottages.
As a large group can we also have personal space?
We have a number of holiday 'complexes' with multiple rentals on site that can accommodate large groups when booked together.
Will our party all be able to dine together?
Whilst many properties provide the facility for the entire party to dine together in one place, some do not so we recommend you discussing this with the holiday home owner.

We have lots of owners who specialize in large group gatherings and can help you to arrange extra activities such as external caterers, pamper sessions, celebratory cakes, clay pigeon shooting and even cocktail making.
